I don't believe it would be legal for an employer to tap an employee's office telephone (a piece of equipment owned by the employer) so why should it be legal to eaves drop on private emails? It may well be legal, but it shouldn't be, in my opinion.

Just like the lawyer said in the segment, if you are using the employer's telephone for personal calls when you should be working, isn't it the boss' right to listen in????
